The FBI confirmed that "partial human remains" were found on Wednesday in Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park in Florida are that of Brian Laundrie.

"On October 21, 2021, a comparison of dental records confirmed that the human remains found at the T. Mabry Carlton, Jr. Memorial Reserve and Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park are those of Brian Laundrie."

On Wednesday morning, Steven Bertolino, the attorney for the Laundrie family, said that Brian's "articles" were found off a trail in the park. Hours later, a medical examiner was called to the park in the vicinity of where the item or items were found. And shortly thereafter, "partial human remains" were reportedly found.

Although the authorities claim they had searched the area previously, a lack of rain in the region in recent weeks seems to have revealed the location of where the items and remains were found after previously being under water.

Brian's parents said that he went for a hike on September 13th and never returned. He was the sole person of interest in the case of his missing fiance Gabby Petito, who went missing in Wyoming and was later found and was determined to have been strangled to death.
