Big action, romance, Chris Hemsworth's butt, you get it all in Thor: Love And Thunder! Let me give you my SPOILER FREE review.
I got to see the new Marvel movie yesterday and it's a lot of fun. Chris Hemsworth's Thor has nothing but good intentions but, as always, does cause problems along the way. Natalie Portman is back as Dr. Jane Foster and, as you've seen in the poster and trailer, she becomes a Thor. How did it happen that she's now wielding Mjolnir? You'll see what happened and she's pretty bad-ass.
And then there's Christian Bale as Gorr The God Butcher. For me, he stole the show. While he's not giant or menacing, Bale made Gorr a scary villain who will do what he has to do to get what he wants. He was fantastic throughout the movie.
There are a lot of old Marvel friends who show up in the movie, but Thor: Love And Thunder also does a good job of being a standalone film. You don't have to know the entire MCU story to just go into this and enjoy it.
It's a solid effort all around and if you'll have a good time seeing Thor: Love And Thunder this weekend. And stay for the end credits! Don't leave until it's all done!!!
