This Friday, Foo Fighters' horror-comedy movie Studio 666 is coming to theaters and the official Mike Jones SPOILER FREE review is this: I loved it!
It's exactly what you think it will be and want it to be. Dave Grohl and the guys are trying to record their new album in a mansion that has a horrible history and it leads to death and demons and raunchy jokes all around.
The horror scenes are throwing it back to the absurd killings in A Nightmare On Elm Street or Friday The 13th, how those could just be over the top. I bet Foo Fighters just sat around one day and thought, ok what ridiculous ways can we come up with to die. There is no shortage of blood!
And the jokes, it's just the guys ripping on each other the whole time. Chris Shiflett was my favorite, the way he just ripped on Dave Grohl. And Rami Jaffee, so over the top funny. All of them had no shortage of great lines and scenes! Plus Will Forte and Whitney Cummings: fantastic!
This weekend, get out and see Studio 666! It's a good time all around.
