What was supposed to be one of the coolest festivals ever turned out to be a train wreck, and that's putting it kindly. We all know the story of the Fyre Festival, the documentaries are on Netflix and Hulu, the ongoing legal battle with attendees and vendors, the debacle that it was and continues to be. Now, a piece of disastrous festival history can be yours!
Vulture is reporting that merchandise from the festival is going to be auctioned off to help pay for the $26 million that Fyre Festival organizer Billy McFarland owes to a variety of people that were swindled.
From an email from the United States Marshals Service’s Manhattan office:
“We have an assortment of the ‘real thing’ Fyre Festival-branded tee-shirts, sweatpants, sweatshirts, hats, wristbands and medallions.”
“We know that there is tremendous interest in these items in the NY metro area in particular.”
As bad as the whole thing is, the Fyre Festival story just keeps getting better!
