It's a good thing that the police came to the scene quickly when a dog was locked in a car in Boynton Beach, FL. The officers were able to save the dog by breaking out a window and freeing it from that oven.
It can't be said enough: DON'T LEAVE ANIMALS IN CARS. Even if you're just running into the store, you're putting that animal's life at risk. Car interiors get hot quickly and it's not like the dog could unlock the door and get out. Temperatures around the country are miserable now and it won't be getting cooler for a few months.
I hope that the officers confronted the person who left the dog in the car. A broken window isn't a tough enough lesson. More needs to happen to the fools that do this.
