At this point in the series, everybody thought that the Capitals should have been up 3-0 over the Toronto Maple Leafs. As the team with the most wins in the NHL this year, with their ability to score all year, with a core that has been together for years now, this seemed like a no-brainer. And yet here we are, wondering if things will go their way tonight in Toronto.
Why can't the Capitals put the Leafs away during regulation and not let the games go to overtime? Why has Ovechkin not been on the ice as much as the team's superstar should be? Where is the rock solid defense that allowed only 2.16 goals per game this season, the lowest in the NHL? And of course, we're wondering if the Caps can get past the playoff hump that has plagued them for years...
There are a lot of questions that hopefully will be answered tonight with a win! Capitals vs. Maple Leafs, 7pm at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.
