Mike Jones and I have had a debate over the last few years about which of the two is the bigger party night: July 3rd or the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
He has contended that July 3rd because it is during the summer and there is generally no work during the day. I do agree with him especially since we have the awesomeness of the District being right here and the fireworks and the Mall and the patriotism on display in our capital city.
I have always thought it was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving because there generally is not work and people come back into town from college or wherever they have moved to. It is sometime referred to as "Blackout Wednesday."
Either way, they are both awesome evenings and we wish that you enjoy both in a safe and awesome fashion!!! Happy 4th friends!
