I was up in New York recently visiting my sister to celebrate my niece's 11th birthday. Normally the routine is we grab pizza and head into Times Square and hang out. This go around, we did something the slightest bit different. We went down and checked out the new Oculus and paid our respect to those who lost their lives on September 11th and went to the World Trade Center Memorial.
The other thing we got to do which was uplifting and empowering for my niece was that we went and checked out the "Fearless Girl" statue which went up in the Financial District. The statue is facing down the "Charging Bull" statue which has been there for some time. Originally slated to be there for only March 2017, the mayor announced that the Fearless Girl statue will stay put at least through March 2018. If you find yourself up that way, definitely check it out.
