Inge Ginsberg, a Holocaust survivor who later became known as the 'Death Metal Grandma', has died at the age of 99.
Inge was born in Austria in 1922 and fled to Switzerland during World War II. She and her husband would later move to the U.S. and work as professional songwriters for artists like Dean Martin and Nat King Cole.
At the age of 93, Inge went metal - forming the band Inge & the Tritone Kings and releasing the single "Totenkopften (Laugh at Death)", about her escape from the Holocaust.
Inge would go on to appear on the Switzerland's Got Talent in 2016 and was the subject of a New York Times documentary in 2018.
