President Joe Biden's address to Congress on Thursday apparently struck a chord with most Americans.
A poll conducted by CBS News has found that 85 percent of Americans "overwhelming approved" the president's speech, with just 15 percent saying they didn't. Of that group, 89 percent described the commander-in-chief as being "presidential," the poll reveals, while an equal percentage said Biden was "caring." Plus, 84 percent called the speech "inspiring," while 80 percent referred to it as "bold," according to the poll's results.
Moreover, Biden's speech made 78 percent of viewers feel "optimistic about America," CBS News reveals. An additional 13 percent said it only made them more pessimistic, while 9 percent said it didn't change their feelings about the United States, per the poll.
