Drunk Lawmaker Resists Arrest, Threatens to Call Governor

After getting pulled over for drinking and driving, Michigan Representative Jewell Jones swore at police officers, resisted arrest and threatened to call Governor Gretchen Whitmer, body cam footage reveals.

"I don’t give a f*** bro," Jones can be seen saying in the clip, released Monday by Michigan State Police. "When I call Gretchen I'll need y'all ID’s badge numbers. It's not going to be good for you, I'm telling you. I run y'alls budget, bro."

The incident depicted in the video occurred April 6th after the 26-year-old politician was spotted weaving in and out of lanes in his Chevy Tahoe, which bears a vanity plate that reads, "ELECTED." A subsequent test found his blood-alcohol level to be twice the legal limit -- and a cop found a Glock in Jones' glove compartment, according to his arrest report. He's facing a minimum sentence of two years, officials say.
