A high-ranking Twitter official says the platform's ban on former President Trump's account is permanent and won't be restored - even if he runs for President again.
Twitter CFO Ned Segal told CNBC "The way our policies work, when you're removed from the platform, you're removed from the platform" no matter who the account belonged to.
Twitter banned Trump's account shortly after the Jan. 6th riot at the U.S. Capitol. Other platforms including Facebook have also banned the former President.
