After three years of marriage and two months after coming out transgender, Elliot Page has filed for divorce from their wife Emma Portner.
In a statement to the Hollywood Reporter Page said, "after much thought and careful consideration we have made the difficult decision to divorce following our separation last summer."
Page and Portner went on to say that the two will remain "close friends."
When Page came out as transgender two months ago Portner supported the decision.
