President Joe Biden's inauguration on Wednesday drew more viewers than Donald Trump's ceremony in 2017.
That's according to a preliminary report from Nielsen.
Nearly 40 million people watched Biden's swearing-in ceremony on the country's six major TV outlets, compared to 38.4 million who tuned in for Mr. Trump's inauguration.
CNN was at the top of the ratings, followed by ABC News, then NBC.
The largest tune-in for an inauguration still belongs to Barack Obama in 2009, when about 51 million saw him sworn-in as the first Black president in U.S. history.
