Charlie Brown and Peanuts are returning to broadcast TV for holiday season

Charlie Brown and Peanuts fans were not too pleased to find out that the Great Pumpkin Special, that has aired on free broadcast tv for years, was not longer going to be, well, free. It was picked up by Apple TV+ and only offered for a couple of days for free by the computer giant.

Now, the Peanuts gang WILL be back on broadcast TV for the holidays.

On Wednesday, Apple TV Plus announced a partnership with PBS to allow the channel to show “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” and “A Charlie Brown Christmas” over the air later this year.

The means if you have an antenna, you can see these holiday classics. Most PBS stations are on basic cable as well.

"A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” will air this Sunday, Nov. 22, on PBS and PBS KIDS at 7:30 on the East. “A Charlie Brown Christmas” will air on PBS and PBS Kids on Dec. 13 at the same time.

If you have an AppleTV+ subscription (and even if you don't!), you can see the specials for free on the streaming service. “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” will be available for streaming between Nov. 25 and Nov. 27, while “A Charlie Brown Christmas” will be available between Dec. 11 and Dec. 13.
