These days, you can't get away with anything.
Apparently, that simple truth has gotten by at least one resident of Raleigh, North Carolina, who was busted after a motorist captured him on video driving recklessly in rush hour traffic. Dash cam footage taken over the summer shows a black Ford Fusion pull onto the shoulder of I-540 and pass a few cars before darting back into traffic. A few minutes later, the aggressive driver can be see cutting off a truck by passing on its right side at an exit ramp. "It passed at a pretty good rate of speed, maybe 20 miles an hour faster than I was going," the unidentified driver says. "So I saved the video and didn't really think much of it."
Fast-forward to October: After capturing on video a similar display of reckless driving, the man compared the two videos. "I realized it was the same car," he says. Now familiar with the vehicle, he kept an eye out for it -- and ended up recording three more videos of the same car in the final months of 2019. Now the North Carolina State Highway Patrol is also keeping an eye out for the driver.
