Veteran radio and TV broadcaster Don Imus died this morning. He was 79. He had been in the hospital since Christmas Eve, according to a statement from his family.
You may remember Imus the most from his longtime feud with Howard Stern. Stern vividly talked about the fight with his fellow radio colleague in the movie and subsequent movie Private Parts.
Imus also had his radio show simulcasted on MSNBC at a time where it was still odd to see a known Republican/Right Winger be on the Liberal airwaves.
One of the most memorable moments of Imus' career came when he made racist remarks against the Rutgers Women's basketball team.
