That poor girl! Just minding her own business when all of a sudden, she gets a ball in the face and a broken nose. This probably wasn't what she had planned for today, at all!
Ian Book, the QB for Notre Dame, was trying to throw the ball out of bounds, like most QB's do on a play they can't get off. So when he threw it, he unknowingly ended up hitting the cheerleader!!
All he was doing was trying to avoid a sack, so obviously it wasn't intentional or anything.
The best part? The cheerleader was on the OPPOSITE TEAM!
Looks like a new rivalry may have started!
