2Pac, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and a slew of others made a name for themselves in the 90s when they signed onto the infamous rap record label Death Row Records.
The label became so popular back in the day, they were literally burning money.
After years of drama, and major artists leaving, the label eventually became a shell of its former self. Now, there is a claim going around that the toy company Hasbro has purchased Death Row Records.
And according to Snopes, it's TRUE!
What's True
Hasbro announced in August 2019 that it was acquiring Entertainment One, a British company that owns popular children programs such as "Peppa Pig," as well as the music catalog of Death Row Records, in a $4 billion deal.
What's False
Hasbro did not pay $4 billion to directly buy Death Row Records.
So there it is. Now we can FINALLY hear the mash up of Mr Potato Head and 2Pac. It's been a long time coming, but it could happen!!
