Metal Fans Aren't Happy That Vinne Paul Was Left Out Of Grammys Tribute

Last night's Grammy Awards included their annual In Memoriam reel, paying tribute to musicians who died over the last year. But metal fans noticed one major name missing - former Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul.

Fans quickly expressed their outrage on Twitter, calling the snub 'disrespectful' and proof that 'the Grammys hate rock'.

Loudwire points out that this is nothing new - in the past metal titans like Jeff Hanneman, Peter Steele, and Paul Gray have all been left out of the annual segment.

Paul died last June of heart disease and is buried next to his brother, Pantera guitarist 'Dimebag' Darrell Abbott.

Did you notice the Vinnie Paul snub? Were you surprised? Should the Grammys respond to the outcry from metal fans?
