A road rage incident in Massachusetts nearly turned fatal for a 65-year-old man, who found himself clinging to the hood of an SUV for three miles as it sped along at 70 miles per hour.
The harrowing incident was sparked by a fender bender involving Richard Kamrowski and 37-year-old Mark Fitzgerald on Interstate 90 near Boston. After exchanging words, Fitzgerald got back into his Infinity SUV and began driving off, police say. So Kamrowski jumped onto the hood in an attempt to get him to stop. But he didn't.
Video taken by another motorist shows Kamrowski holding on for dear life as Fitzgerald speeds through traffic, periodically turning on his windshield wipers to help break the grip of his unwanted passenger. At one point Kamrowski can be seen trying to call for help on his cell phone. The ride finally ends when another motorist points a gun at Fitzgerald.
Fitzgerald has been charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and Kamrowski has been charged with disorderly conduct.
Do you think Kamrowski should have been charged? Have you ever found yourself in a perilous spot while driving?
