In a move to lessen the continuing impact of the partial government shutdown, the White House is ordering thousands back to work.
The workers are responsible for functions such as airplane and food inspection and safety, processing tax returns and off-shore drilling, according to a Bloomberg report.
Some, however, say that by keeping some operations functioning during the now 26-day impasse that the administration is bypassing federal law.
800,000 government workers have missed paychecks. An estimated more than 420,000 have had to continue working despite not getting paid.
Do you think furloughed workers should be called back during the shutdown? Would you show up for work?
