Gary Lykins could no longer listen to whatever music his wife was loudly playing on her laptop, so he did the natural thing. No, he didn't ask her to lower the volume, he shot the computer.
The 44-year-old from Fort Worth, Texas then barricaded himself inside the house early Saturday morning. Police spent four hours trying to coax him out.
A SWAT team was eventually called in, but Lykins surrendered before they arrived, taken into custody and charged with deadly conduct for discharging a firearm.
Lykins' wife managed to escape with only minor injuries from the incident.
What would have been the smarter response to the situation? How do you keep the peace at home?
