Uber users are being scammed by something called 'Vomit Fraud.'
People who get a ride are seeing price adjustments on their receipts long after their trip. Increases up to $150 have been charged to people who allegedly threw-up or left a mess in a driver's car.
Some people hit with the charge say they didn't dirty up the cars. Complaints to Uber are slow to resolve because the company needs to investigate before they can refund the money.
Uber officials did say that the majority of their cleaning fee reports are accurate. Uber also said they are taking the customer complaints seriously and will not tolerate driver fraud.
Have you been hit with one of these extra fees? How often are you taking ride-share services now?
