Well it was a rumor and now it's confirmed. Toto is returning the favor by covering Weezer.
Two months after Weezer entered the charts with their cover of the Toto classic "Africa," Steve Porcaro and Steve Lukather have revealed that they are going to record a version of Weezer's "Hash Pipe."
The Toto members admit that they wanted to go with "Beverly Hills" at first, but settled on the 2001 hit because they love the melody and the message.
As for his thoughts on Weezer's cover, Lukather loves it. "Let's face it – they kicked ass on it, the guitarist says.
Can Toto pull off Weezer as well as they pulled off Toto? Which bands would you like to see cover each other? On which songs?
