A woman in Dijon, France went to the emergency room. She had been falling down and feeling electrical-type tingling in her legs.
Doctors ran tests and found a parasitic worm in her spine.
This type of parasite is uncommon in France and doctors said it was very unusual to find the tapeworm embedded in someone's spine.
The World Health Organization said this type of tapeworm is a neglected disease normally found in the tropics. Around 1 million people could suffer from it at any given time.
Have you ever gone to the doctor for one thing and found out you were dealing with something else?
