Talinda Bennington and CNN have both recently been touched by the suicide deaths of loved ones. The widow of Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington appeared on the news network last Saturday to take part in a Town Hall called, "Finding Hope: Battling America's Suicide Crisis".
Speaking to host Anderson Cooper, Bennington believes there were warning signs before her husband killed himself last July.
Bennington says she is more educated about what to look for now, including hopelessness, change of behavior, and isolation. In her home life, "sometimes, some signs were there more than others. Sometimes, they weren't there at all."
The most "terrifying" thing for Bennington is that her husband was the happiest the day before he committed suicide, telling Cooper, "This was not a time where we or any of our family suspected this to happen, which is terrifying... We thought everything was okay."
With the amount of celebrity suicides in the news as of late, have you felt compelled to learn the signs and keep an eye out on friends, loved ones, and acquaintances?
