Axl Rose's Gift Inspired The Foo Fighters' Latest Album

A thank you gift from Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose helped inspire the Foo Fighters' most recent album, Concrete and Gold.

When Dave Grohl fell off the stage in Gothenburg, Sweden back in 2015 and broke his leg, he commissioned the building of a throne to sit on while he finished out the remaining dates on the tour.

Axl Rose wound up borrowing Grohl's seat for his band's appearance at Coachella, after breaking his foot that year.

As a thank you, Rose gave Grohl a rare guitar, which inspired the Foo's next album.

Grohl gushed about the gift, telling the UK's Radio X, it's "the most incredible guitar, the best guitar I have ever had in my entire life," and that he used it all over the new record."

Do you give thank you gifts? What's the best one that you've received?
