Billy Idol’s Royal Wedding Tweet Has Twitter Going Insane

Ah, yes. The Royal Wedding. It seemed that everyone had something to say -- or not say -- as Twitter liked to point out in this case.

Billy Idol's famous song "White Wedding" is the reason that people are going insane on the social media platform. But, what exactly did Idol do to drum up this sort of attention?

Billy tweeted out, "Looks like a lovely day in UK for Harry and Meghan's wedding #royalwedding," and while some may see no issue with this tweet, fans all over the globe are pointing out the obvious.

In the song "White Wedding" the lyrics are, "It's a nice day for a white wedding," and Twitter is having a field day over whether Billy purposely tweeted out an alternate phrase or missed the perfect opportunity.

Idol later tweeted out, "So it looked like 'It was a nice day for a white wedding' in the UK for Meghan and Harry #RoyalWedding2018 ;)," in what was probably in acknowledgement of fans.

Do you think Billy knew what he was doing on his first tweet? What are the best tweets you saw about the Royal Wedding?
