You don't see actor Rick Moranis on TV all that much these days (aside from a cameo on the Goldbergs.) He's pretty much shut it down in terms of acting going back to 2007. But for SCTV? Moranis couldn't say "no."
The former SCTV star has signed on to be a part of an SCTV comedy special that will air on Netflix in 2019.
Organizers say Moranis is confirmed to join previously announced "SCTV" cast members Joe Flaherty, Eugene Levy, Andrea Martin, Catherine O'Hara, Martin Short and Dave Thomas.
Martin Scorsese will direct the special, which explores the enduring legacy of the Emmy Award-winning Canadian series "Second City Television."
