The bane of many a man's existence may finally have a potential cure.
Researchers at the University of Manchester published their findings in the journal PLOS Biology after discovering a drug originally intended to treat osteoporosis stimulated hair growth.
Project leader Dr Nathan Hawkshaw believes it could "make a real difference to people who suffer from hair loss".
A clinical trial will now need to be conducted to see if the treatment will be effective and safe in people.
