A National Guardsman who survived tours in Iraq and Qatar has been killed in a road rage stabbing in Missouri.
Cody M. Harter was a member of the Missouri Air National Guard and helped with hurricane relief in Houston and Puerto Rico. Police say he was fatally stabbed in what they describe as a road rage incident with an unknown suspect.
Witnesses say they saw Harter arguing with someone outside of his vehicle and believe that is where he received a single stab wound to the chest during an altercation.
Harter had a lawn-care business and had one semester left until he graduated with an engineering technology degree.
