A devastating report from the New York Times details some horrific treatment of the Washington Redskins cheerleaders on a trip to Costa Rica in 2013.
The cheerleaders are accusing the organization of making several inappropriate demands of them on this trip that included posing nude for male sponsors and making some of them work as escorts.
The Times spoke to five women who went on the trip and later corroborated their claims with others who had heard stories about what went on.
Stephanie Jojokian, the director and choreographer of the cheerleaders, disputed the characterization of the trip to the Times as did two other women.
Should the NFL oversee teams use of cheerleaders? Should the NFL ban all cheerleaders for teams until a protocol of some sort can be put into place? Does this surprise you?
