Digital Music On the Wane? Physical Albums Outsell Digital Sales in 2017

For the first time since 2011, sales of vinyl albums and CDs outpaced digital tune downloads.

The surprising numbers came from 2017 statistics released by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Digital downloads accounted for $1.3 billion in sales, while LPs and CDs brought in $1.5 billion in revenues.
