An IHOP in Maine is apologizing for how one of its servers treated a group of black teenagers.
The server reportedly told the teens they had to pay for their meal upfront, calling it a 'new generation thing'. A witness dining at a nearby table saw the incident and posted about it on Facebook.
The manager of the restaurant says he didn't think the incident was racial, and believes the server was trying to prevent a dine-and-dash.
IHOP apologized on its Facebook page, calling the incident "inexcusable". President Darren Rebelez said IHOP has 'zero tolerance' for discrimination of any type.
