If you're constantly battling with trying to get perfectly crisp bacon when preparing breakfast, try water.
Many people prepare bacon different ways. The more popular are baking it in the oven, frying it in a pan, or throwing a couple strips in the microwave and sometimes it's crispy and other times it's more like a piece of pork chewing gum.
A trick from The Kitchn suggests that if you add water to a pan when preparing bacon reduces splattering and gives you nice crisp bacon.
How much water? According to The Kitchn just enough to cover the bottom of the pan is enough. Then cook the bacon over medium-high heat until the water is gone and then reduce the heat. You're welcome.
