This could fit into the "loser of the week" category. An escaped convict gets arrested trying to return to prison with booze, snacks and some good home-cooking.
25-year-old Joshua Hansen of Dallas, is serving a federal prison sentence for a narcotics charge.
Authorities at the Jefferson County Correctional Center recently became aware that inmates had been escaping through a back entrance to the facility and then crossing into a nearby rancher's property to grab contraband.
After witnessing Hansen grabbing a duffel bag from the rancher's property, he was arrested while trying to return to the facility.
The bag contained three bottles of brandy, a bottle of whisky, multiple bags of tobacco, packaged snacks, fruit and a large amount of home cooked food.
If you were able to escape the prison, why would you bother to return? Wouldn't you just keep running?
