We probably all made up words at one point in our lives.
But when you are President of the United States, you may want to check the things you Tweet. Especially words like "BIGLY".
Early Wednesday (5/31) morning, President Trump baffled the Twitterverse with a post that not only had a made up word, but made absolutely NO sense!
First, what on Earth does that Tweet even mean? Second, WTF IS COVFEFE?????
Clearly he was on some kind of rant considering the Tweet went out at 12:06 AM (Eastern Time). The Tweet has since been deleted as of 5:45 AM, however many screen shots have already been taken to keep it immortalized.
Twitter users had a field day with the, uh, typo?
Even late night host Jimmy Kimmel got in on the action
what makes me saddest is that I know I'll never write anything funnier than #covfefe— Jimmy Kimmel (@jimmykimmel) May 31, 2017
The general consensus is that someone grabbed the phone out of Trump's hands midway through the Tweet.
I like to imagine that "covfefe" is the exact moment someone tackled Trump and wrestled the phone out of his hand. https://t.co/96MAwttvdL— Jamelle Bouie (@jbouie) May 31, 2017
But the real winner was Merriam-Webster's Twitter account. #MicDrop

President Trump, after deleting the original Tweet, posted this early Wednesday (5/31) morning
