Two teenage girls were barred by a gate agent from boarding a United Airlines flight from Denver to Minneapolis because they were wearing leggings.
A United spokesman, Jonathan Guerin, explained that there is a dress code for people traveling under an employee travel pass as opposed to being a ticketed passenger, which in that case, they can wear leggings.
And of course Twitter exploded.
An activist, Shannon Watts of Denver, Tweeted that she saw everything go down and questioned United's decision in what these girls were wearing.
