A Frederick, Maryland BBQ restaurant is under fire for a Facebook post it made about its food.
The model is shown holding a rack of ribs JUST underneath a low cut shirt with cleavage and her large breasts with the caption:
The old adage is true "a way to a man's #heart is through his stomach" we have you covered #BlackhogBBQ #dinein or #carryout #giftcards too 🙌#DMV #Frederick #cheers #realwomeneatBBQ #justsaying #bottomsup#bbqforever #MemphisinMay #cheerwine #flyingdogbrewery
It is, of course, a play on the phrase "nice rack"
Some of the comments they received were:
"Are you serious. Why did you have to put this on your page it's ridiculous."
"Wow, bad choice"
"I'm an adult woman and, yes, this is in bad taste."
"Not sure why cleavage is necessary to sell BBQ....whatever works for you I guess."
"I love your food and your restaurants, but very disappointed in your choice of advertising. You definitely are not setting the tone for a family environment which you are."
"Kind of a misogynistic approach, isn't it? The food at Black Hog is good enough on it's own merit without trying to become a Hooters wanna be."
The restaurant responded with a comment of their own:
"Actually everyone the owners wife who is a woman and she is the photographer - one who came up with the idea and mother of 3 grown children one being a women ( who think it's funny) and one of the employees wives is model - everybody please settle down and it was all in fun & lighthearted happy Valentine's Day.
