The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the DMV area as a large snowstorm makes its way up the east coast. The Advisory goes into effect at 4 PM today and lasts until 4 AM Saturday.
Although the worst of the storm is expected to happen along the coastline of Maryland and areas north, the Washington, DC and Baltimore metro areas are forecasted to receive around 1-2" of snow but some areas could see as much as 4" depending on how the storm unfolds.
Winds around 35mph are expected to accompany the precipitation.
Meanwhile, a Blizzard Warning has been issued for Ocean City, Rehoboth Beach and Bethany Beach where they could see 6-12" of snow.
