I spoke with Dr. Ameya Kulkarni, the incoming President on the Board of Directors for the American Heart Association, Greater Washington Region, the Co-Chair for the upcoming Heart Walk on November 4 and the Associate Medical Director at Kaiser Permanente. We talked about a new campaign for the AHA, Nation Of Lifesavers, that’s being spearheaded by the Buffalo Bills’ Damar Hamlin. Also with Bryan O. Buckley, DrPH, MPH, MBA who is also on the Board of Directors for the American Heart Association, Greater Washington Region and he’s the Director of Health Equity Initiatives, The National Committee for Quality Assurance. He shared an incredible story about saving a complete strangers’ life – because he knows how to perform CPR.
