Ellie Hollander
Ellie Hollander is President and CEO of Meals on Wheels America, providing leadership to a nationwide network of thousands of community-based nutrition programs committed to assuring the health, safety and independence of America’s older adults. This includes building public awareness about the growing epidemics of senior hunger and isolation, advocating for desperately needed public and private funding to keep its wheels rolling and launching Meals on Wheels Health to demonstrate that its more than just a meal model improves the health and wellness of vulnerable older adults, while also reducing the need for high-cost healthcare services.
Ellie has held executive positions in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, including as Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Vice President of Business Development for Good360 (formerly known as Gifts In Kind International), and as interim Associate Executive Director for Membership, Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer for AARP. Ellie graduated with double-majors from Duke University and later from the Duke Fuqua School of Business’ Advanced Management Program.
Ellie is a Washington Business Journal “Women Who Mean Business” honoree, a Silver Stevie® Award Female Executive of the Year winner and a Results for America “Moneyball for Government Nonprofit All-Star” for her commitment to evidence-based work. She is also a member of the International Women’s Forum and the George Washington University School of Business Corporate Collaborative Council.
