President and CEO

Robert “Rob” Liebreich was appointed President and CEO of Goodwin House Incorporated in May 2019. His energy, compassion and creative drive, as well as his proven leadership in senior living, set him apart during a competitive six-month national search for the new Goodwin House CEO.

Liebreich brings nearly two decades of senior living experience to GHI. Prior to joining GHI, he served as executive director for the 13th largest Continuing Care Retirement Community in the United States, Asbury Methodist Village in Gaithersburg, MD. He has held senior positions in marketing and operations, in both the local Washington-Baltimore metropolitan area and the Pacific Northwest. Prior to joining Asbury Methodist Village, Liebreich served as regional general manager for Aegis Living and start-up manager for Aegis on Madison in Seattle, WA.

Before joining Aegis Living, Liebreich served as the executive director of Skyline at First Hill, a high-rise continuing lifestyle community in Seattle that included independent living, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing. Liebreich also has served as the associate executive director for Oak Crest Village, a not-for-profit community in Parkville, MD, where he helped manage a team of 1,170 employees serving more than 2,150 residents. Before entering the senior care industry, Liebreich worked as a project manager for various telecommunication companies.

Liebreich holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and International Business and Marketing from Georgetown University and an MBA in Senior Care and Housing from Johns Hopkins University.

Celebrating more than 50 years of providing exceptional service to older adults, Goodwin House Incorporated (GHI) is a not-for-profit, Virginia-based corporation affiliated with the Episcopal Church. The growing family of GHI senior living and healthcare services owned and operated across Northern Virginia includes: two Life Plan Communities—Goodwin House Alexandria and Goodwin House Bailey’s Crossroads; an innovative continuing care at home program—Goodwin House at Home; and a portfolio of healthcare services and partnerships delivering Palliative Care, Home Health, Primary Care and Hospice. GHI also is the management agent for The Lewinsville Retirement Residences, Inc. serving low-income older adults in McLean and Great Falls, Virginia.

GHI also advances its mission through the Goodwin House Foundation, a 501(c)(3) supporting foundation that provides financial support to current and future residents in need and to fund programs dedicated to promoting growth and education of staff as well as overall well-being and vibrant living as we age.
