Doctors in Brazil were stunned when they found out that a patient suffering from stomach pain and constipation had a 2kg weight stuck in his rectum when x-rays were taken.

The 54-year-old man was admitted to the hospital after complaining of stomach pains, nausea and constipation. Apparently, he had tried to remove the dumbbell himself but wasn't able to and waited two days before seeking help.

Doctors examined the man's rectum and didn't see anything wrong at first. But after ordering x-rays to be taken, they discovered the weight and the source of the man's problems.

According to the International Journal of Surgery Case Reports, surgeons tried to remove the object with a pair of large tweezers but failed. So they performed a "manual extraction" involving a doctor using his "forearm" to get it out.

The patient spent three days in the hospital before he was released. Doctors say that the initial incident was of a "sexual nature."
