By nature, MMA fights can result in some pretty gruesome injuries between the contestants. This dude gets punched in the eyeball so hard that he ends up resembling Sloth from the 1985 classic film The Goonies.
I mean punching someone in the eyeball isn't necessarily an outlawed MMA attack but damn that does not look good. It's unclear but I would imagine the ref saying, "Hey you guys!" and stopping the match. I hope he does not have a rocky road to recovery from that.
If it's not as bad as it looks they could at least need to take a break for a second and let my man eat a Baby Ruth before continuing.
