A distracted teenager working inside a shopping mall in Turkey fell 40 feet after being distracted by his cell phone and walking over a storage hatch.
Surveillance footage shows the boy walking towards the hatch while fully engulfed into looking at something on his phone. Another worker nearby seems to be distracted by someone else near him and doesn't realized what's going on until it's too late.
The boy plunges straight through the hatch and falls some 40 feet below.
Thankfully, thanks to another surveillance camera, the teen manages to fall on top of a pile of cardboard boxes that stop him from falling directly to the concrete floor below. He then manages to drop down from the boxes to the ground, seemingly unscathed.
This could have ended way worse for him.
