Dave attended Holmes Middle School, Thomas Jefferson High School, Bishop Ireton High School and Annandale High School. At one point he owned a house in Alexandria where the Foo Fighters recorded There Is Nothing Left to Lose.

Diedrich Bader (actor, comedian - The Drew Carey Show, Napoleon Dynamite, American Housewife): Born in Alexandria but moved to Paris at the age of two. However, Bader later returned to Northern Virginia and attended Groveton High School in Alexandria and graduated from T.C. Williams High School.

Before becoming a famous singer/songwriter, Flack was a teacher at schools in nearby Chevy Chase, MD and Washington, DC.
