A man from Washington, DC has been arrested and charged after he robbed a Trader Joe's over the holiday weekend.
Police say the man brandished a crossbow and entered the Trader Joe's store located on 14th St NW on Sunday minutes before 1:00 PM.
The Metropolitan Police Department says 26-year-old Isis Jones tried to steal a bottle of wine by stashing it in a red bag. When he was confronted by an employee after Jones walked out of the store without paying for the wine, they say Jones took out a crossbow and pointed it in the direction of the employee.
Jones, along with another unnamed suspect, then fled the store. The employee contacted police, and surveillance footage of the suspects was shared in hopes of identifying the individuals.
Jones was arrested a day later on December 27th. He was charged with assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Theft Two.
