Bombshell Development in the Delphi Murders Made with Fake IG Discovery

A bombshell discovery has been made in the case of the Delphi murders, or the murders of Liberty German and Abigail Williams in 2017.

Liberty and Abigail were found dead after going for a walk together on February 13, 2017 near Delphi, Indiana, near a bridge and railway tracks.

On Monday, Indiana police investigating the crimes say they believe they had found a possible link and were looking for a person behind an Instagram account and a Snapchat account using the "anthony_shots," fake accounts believed to have been used to lure the two girls with photos of someone pretending to be rich.

It has now been announced that Indiana police have now identified the individual behind the account as 27-year-old Kegan Anthony Kline.

Kline was actually arrested on February 23, 2017, just ten days after and 40 miles from where the murders of German and Williams took place. Kline was taken into custody over child porn charges. Apparently he admitted to police back in 2017 that he made the anthony_shots account as a way to talk to girls, some under 16, and said he had gotten explicit photos from some of them.

It's not clear why Indiana police announced they were looking for the person behind the accounts even though Kline previously admitted to being the person who created them. He has not been charged with the murders and it's unclear if he had ever been questioned about the murders in custody.

The "real" man whose photos were stolen and used in the anthony_shots accounts is Vincent Kowalski, who is actually a police officer in Alaska. He says he is horrified to learn that his photos may have been used to lure two young girls to their murder.

The case of the Delphi murders has been covered extensively in the media for one peculiar reason - Libby actually recorded a video of a man shortly before she and Williams were killed. She also recorded audio of him saying the words "down the hill."

On Monday, Indiana State Police said,

While investigating the murders of Abigail Williams and Liberty German, detectives with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and the Indiana State Police have uncovered an online profile named anthony_shots.
This profile was being used from 2016 to 2017 on social media applications, including but not limited to, Snapchat and Instagram.
The fictitious anthony_shots profile used images of a known male model and portrayed himself as being extremely wealthy and owning numerous sports cars.
The creator of the fictitious profile used this information while communicating with juvenile females to solicit nude images, obtain their addresses, and attempt to meet them.
They confirmed that they knew who the model was, had been in contact with him and ruled him to be innocent, but that they were searching for someone else who had set it all up.
The male that is in the photos is not a person of interest in the investigation.
Detectives are seeking information about the person who created the anthony_shots profile

They have not made an official comment regarding the connection with Kline
